I have never seen a llama advertised (using different pictures) more than this boy! I can see why. He is a striking silver color with dark points. In most of the pictures I have seen of him, the silver-grey really shows but there have been a few pics where you can see a little sunburn brown. The Fiduciary (Oak Hill Clyde x Tiffany TA01) was born at Taylor Llamas, Bozeman, MT on September 18, 1984 and in the Christmas Issue of 3L Llamas that same year, take a look what I found. He was advertised in almost every issue after that for years. When he matured, his stud fee was $5,000. To date, he has sired 343 cria registered with the ILR and is the most prolific Herd Sire to date.

From an article I read in Llama Life, I learned that the Pattersons, of Patterson Llamas, bought The Fiduciary's sire, Clyde, from Catskill Game Farm. He was born the same year as Dr. Doolittle and Chief Sitting Bull. Just like with the latter two, no one knows who his sire was and it is possible that the three could be related. It is not clear if Clyde was born on the Patterson's of if they bought him after he was already born. I tend to believe the latter since there is no record of his dam and the Pattersons kept excellent records.

At some point, Clyde was sold to Ken and Marge Safley, of Tall Tree Llamas. They would loan or lease him out to different breeders, like back to the Pattersons and to the Taylors until they sold him, along with their entire herd, to the Freemans at Oak Hill Ranch, LA (who changed his name to OAK HILL Clyde) in 1986 where he died later that same year at approximately 11 years old. Although Oak Hill Ranch had several offspring from Clyde, and they added "Oak Hill" to their names, there were none born on their ranch that was sired by him.

In late Summer or early Fall of 1982, the Taylors leased Clyde and kept him for a couple of years. While on the Taylor's ranch, Clyde sired 10 cria. His most famous, The Fiduciary , was born in September 1984, as a result of breeding Clyde the second year at Taylor Llamas to Tiffany TA01. Her sire, Gregory Peck and her dam, Gina's Georgia, both had the same sire, Bask. Most of Tiffany's offspring were grey.

Below are some quotes from Sally Taylor I found in Llama Life II - Autumn 2000

"Probably no other name in the short annals of llama breeding evokes the image of money and success as does The Fiduciary. Even beyond the fact that his name itself is a banking term and seems synonymous with wealth, he began his breeding career at the zenith of the financial pinnacle of the industry and was intelligently promoted. Even the newest members of the llama community have seen the photograph of the proud and woolly gray male standing on his hind legs looking over a fence."

"Many of his babies are named for financial terms, i.e. Prospectous, The Comptroller, CEO, Cashier, Treasury, Annuity, High Yield, Bull Market, Blue Chip." His most famous, Mirabelle, a female born on the Taylor Ranch October 12, 1987, was the highest selling female at a public auction of all time. At the very first Celebrity Sale, October 1989, as a 2 year old, unproven female, Mirabelle sold for $170,000 to Llama Woods Farm, OR. "The Fiduciary stood at stud for several years for a breeding fee of $5,000 and earned well over half a million dollars in stud fees alone."

"Fidoosh loves roaming the ranch. We often leave the gate to his pen open so he can tour the ranch before putting himself away in his own paddock. Reports from pack trials say his grandsons are making names for themselves in the master pack classes and, adding that to his credits, he truly has done it all. At age 17 he is showing a little age but frolics in the evenings and still is breeding and producing exceptional offspring. He has always been a gentleman and a showboat and he loves visitors with cameras."
