Poison Plants

A common misconception - toxic plants don't taste good - animals will not eat them!
Healthy Llamas may be more resistant to minor toxic ingestions
Certain conditions will favor the ingestion of poisonous plants - cold weather, drought and herbicides.

REMEMBER:

• Plants vary with the seasons
• Plant populations change with time
• Plant identification can be tricky
• Look high and low - from ground covers to vines high in trees
• Remember landscape plants
